Pvola is an independent English-language publication covering solar, energy storage, the grid and clean-power markets. We track the policy, projects, technology and capital that shape how solar and storage are built, financed and operated.
What we cover
- Policy and regulation: tariffs, auctions, subsidies, permitting and market design.
- Projects: utility-scale and distributed solar, battery storage, hybrid and grid-connection projects.
- Technology and manufacturing: cells, modules, inverters, batteries and supply chains.
- Capital: financing, M&A, IPOs and asset transactions.
- Grid and operations: integration, performance, maintenance and reliability.
Who we are
Pvola is produced by a 10-person editorial team based in Wuzhou, Guangxi. Our editors select stories, check key figures against the cited primary source and are responsible for what we publish. Meet the editorial team.
How we work
Our editorial workflow monitors publicly available sources and produces a concise English article for each development. Every article is reviewed by an editor before publication. Each article links to its original source in the Source block, and our structured data records that source asisBasedOn.
We use AI-assisted tools for translation, source monitoring and structured metadata. These tools support our editors but do not make publication decisions. Automated tools can still introduce errors; when we find one, we correct it and update the article.
Where an article contains interpretation, it is placed in a clearly labelled “Pvola take” block and is grounded in facts stated in the article.
Media partnership
Pvola is a media partner of theChina Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), the national-level industry association approved by China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs.
Independence
Pvola does not publish sponsored articles or paid placements. Our coverage is not directed by advertisers, project developers or financial institutions. Nothing we publish is investment advice.
